Carbide Create Shapeoko Basics - Part 2: Cutting // CNC Woodwork

Part two of the series, I take the gcode we created from part one and use carbide motion to cut the actual shape out on the Shapeoko cnc.

I created this video series aimed at the true beginner to hobby CNC's. Although Carbide Create is made for the Shapeoko, it can be used for any CNC because it just generates G-Code.

I'm a graphics guy and I have a vinyl cutter and I've always wanted a CNC but I've always been intimidated thinking that it might be too much of a headache to learn and operate... new software, new design techniques, new materials, drill bits, speeds etc... But after seeing your 2 intro videos I now know it's just an extension of what I already know .. seems simple if you already have experience with something like a vinyl cutter or similar tool. It's going to drive my wife crazy because now I'm going to have to figure out a way to pay for a Shapeoko (I will start as a hobby with the intention of making money later, at least enough to pay for it) ... it is amazing that in all these videos no-one insists on making sure the router/spindle is COMPLETLY REMOVED FROM ANY POWER SOURCE / UNPLUGGED... in case of confusion an injury from a bit is an instant mangling one.
