My name is Matt Brockman, I hope you enjoy all of my trumpet covers, trumpet arrangements and trumpet multitracks! I have Bb trumpet sheet music available (mostly in the form of trumpet ensembles) for most arrangements but I arrange for other brass instruments as well. I also teach some trumpet lessons on here from time to time! Whether you play classical or lead trumpet, I hope you enjoy!

Or go to a conservatory and practice like your life depends on it (because it does) and just go all in on performance. I definitely agree with you in the context of state schools though, getting a performance degree without a double major in education or something different is a bad idea (which I can say having done exactly that 😅).

Spot on. Yrs ago a wise old Sax teacher told me "You are only as good as your last performance". I was 6yrs in the Army Bands & you're wrong about nice personality. Some of those in charge were A-holes. Your idea re qualifications is good. A day job teaching will support your family. Hard to earn a living by playing nowadays unless you're a genius (& most of us aren't). We learn more about playing on the Stand than sitting in a lecture hall.

that's what I'm saying. there can be some guy out in the world somewhere with enough intelligence to find a cure for cancer, but can't because they didn't go to college or they dropped out of highschool.
