I love how even Týr is even somewhat annoyed by Helios.

I like how these paths don't seek to forgive Kratos for his past, but shed light that just because his choices resulted in horrible consequences, he wasn't some depraved mad man, stumbling into bloodshed on a whim. He made choices, decisions based on what he thought was right. To grow Kratos has to evaluate the scenarios he was in, the feelings he held, and the decisions made from them. Their consequences. The consequences of making a different choice. The consequences of failure. Only then can he move on, and lead as a God of War.

the contrast between the young kratos and old kratos attitude. young one is almost unhuman, with a distorted face, eyes full of hate, and also arrogant. old one is relaxed, calm and wise. the change this guy experienced through the years is absolutely amazing.

No wonder why kratos rarely smiles. So many sad memories. Such a conflicted and complicated character.

"And from that point forward, throughout the rest of time, whenever men rode forth to battle for good cause or for evil, they did so under the watchful eye of the man who had defeated a god. They were driven forward by Kratos, the mortal who had become the new God of War..." Gaia, God of War 1.

"I guess irony can have it when it earns you, or something..." what an absolute banger of a line

This is the wisest story line I have ever seen, so much wisdom and philosophy here.

When you really, like really think about it. Ares believed that Kratos made the pact out of fearing for his life. But it was out of duty as a Spartan to protect both Sparta and Greece from the threat of the barbarians.

Or Ares knew of Kratos’s noble nature and he took advantage of it.

Either way, the God of War got what he wanted and he had his new pet. Too bad he never expected his dog will eventually bite the head of his master.

So tyr is helping him to become a better version of himself while the other gods shit on him. Truly grateful to tyr for working on kratos's betterment

The Oath Stone. I really wish we got some stuff on Orkos. If Kratos hadn't been forced to kill him, I could see him fulfilling a similar role to Mimir throughout the Greek Saga. Maybe having just one consistent voice of reason, an angel on his shoulder, could have been enough to keep Kratos from completely losing it.

Hope. "When everything else is lost, It is makes us strong. It is why we are here. It's what we fight with when all else is lost." God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla, is really the pinnacle of Kratos' self-improvement journey, from sitting on that throne as the god of war, to now sitting as the peacemaker, both for others, and especially, within himself.

3:50 Low key needed to hear this today, never would’ve thought that God of War, a game that ever since I started playing back in 2005 that’s always been about busting heads, could give me a monologue this powerful.

Imagine how amazing it would have been for young Kratos to have dialog, and getting the original voice actor as well. I know, absolutely not necessary, as this is practically perfect in every way, but it would have been the sweet, sweet icing on the cake.

Ngl, as I’m looking at the younger kratos he looks so much more terrifying compared to the one we know today

I expected either Zeus, Ares or even Athena to conjure up and be the ones to criticize or belittle Kratos for his actions. Maybe even Deimos or his mother to come up and console him during his time in Valhalla. But i never expected Helios, but technically he is doable in the game workshop sense. Regardless its good to see Kratos reflecting and finally accepting the past and now become a new God of War and Hope.

in my mind, Kratos' speech-'You are more than that", really reminds me ok Loki season 2, whereas Loki found redemption, rejecting the God of mischief, but now burdened with the glorious purpose as the god of stories. both young kratos and young Loki sat on the throne, but as they grew wise the least they wanted the throne. and now both Gods sits on a throne, not because they want it, but because of the responsibility they must bear and they know it themselves what they must do to become a better version of themselves.

And here we see Kratos sitting on his throne, leading mankind.
