Before this video, few knew that Obama was a NASCAR fan, but he is - a big one. Every year, Obama always honors the NASCAR Sprint Car Champion at the White House. He's got my vote.

What I would've given to be there and see Jimmie in person and to get to see the President. I think it was so great that Jimmie got his fourth championship and got to go to Washington, D.C.

@bendalejr88 From what I can tell, that's something specific to Jimmie's car, any other tachometer you'll see in those stock cars are right side up. Maybe he had his like that growing up and he's used to it now, I don't know.

@David279300 Haha most racers set their gauges up to where the needle is facing straight up if everything in the car is operating correctly so they can limit the time spent checking the guages.

@David279300 rpm gauge? it's called a tachometer, and fyi they're always twisted. i drive racecars locally and we mount the tach with whatever the peak rpm is pointed at 12 o'clock, same with oil pres. water temp. etc, all gauges in racecars are turned so that optimum operating range is at 12 o'clock, so when you're driving in the race, you don't have ot read the gauges, just glance and make sure all of hte needles are pointed straight up and you know everything is fine

@Keyo717 I totally agree with you. You can feel that Jimmie is far more intelligent than Dale. You just need to watch some interview with them. The way how he communicate is much more sophisticated then Dale's. That's the truth.

@Keyo717 Well I have nothing against Jimmie. About JR's fans (I am one), we're all not the same. It just seems bad because it's so many and so many that do annoy people. Kyle Busch fans are actually worse, it just doesn't seem like it since it's not nearly as many.
