In my opinion, most growers are pretty down to earth. i talked to so much of them, and everybody said that you will improve slowly from grow to grow and that nobody is a born grow god. and accepting that ur grow was a miss, is part of becoming a good grower :)

I am a grower and I constantly ask the smoker for their opinion. Back in the day some came back with spreadsheets giving points for each strain. Now I just hear everything was great. Obviously That doesn’t help me much. In 29 year I never had a strain that everybody liked. And it won’t be any different with Sherbanger, permanent marker, Rs11 or whatever is the next hype.

Usually growers are smokers too. The best weed doesn’t come from big growing facilities as they don’t put the love. Small grows are the best and organic makes a huge difference. I know because I’m a consultant here in Thailand.

The best flower is usually small batch. And thats all most home growers do. Definitely not always but i think the most knowledgeable on average is probably an unbiased* grower.

I appreciate all good stuff, but most collegues will not admit if something is better than theirs :)

I see your point, but you shouldn't be given the label as a Grower unless you've been doing it for a year consistently. If you upkeep your plants everyday and get decent results by the end, no matter your own opinion on how your stuff came out, I still think you have way more knowledge in what it takes to get good bud compared to just opening packages and smoking on YouTube.

even a bad grower would know a bit more about a good bud because he will understand how hard it is to achieve good stuff. I think growers just have a better appreciation for it.
