In this video, Andrew goes through the October 1940 trials of TOG-1. Using original footage from those trials shows how the tank exceeded not only the capabilities of any other British tank at the time for crossing obstacles but also the expectations of the team.
After these trials, various changes and modifications were made to improve performance, reduce weight, improve cooling, and also various experiments with new rollers.
Following these trials into Spring 1941, attention would increasingly move onto the superior vehicle TOG-2. Nonetheless, by the end of this period, the Army had been sufficiently pleased with TOG-1 that a decision on the side sponsons was finally made and formal plans for the tank completed.

The B1's 75mm that's found on the TOG-1 always fascinates me

I was very impressed watching this bad boy neutral steering, never mind crossing all of those obstacles.

I know you said you're not going to discuss...that video game...in your TOG videos, but the TOG-1 is the tank I'd like to see in the game. Hopefully with realistic climbing ability.

The TOG I was a reply to the French’s Char 1B and Char 2C it originally had side turrets since it was going to be an improved Mark tank originally the final results of the chassis was the TOG’s hull its a much shorter version than the TOG II carrying the Matilda II’s turret with the B1’s 75mm gun however it was shortly rejected due to weight issues and affordability and no im typing this not from googlr
