Synthetic vs Conventional Oil: What’s the Difference. In this video, we will discuss the difference between Synthetic vs Conventional Oil and which one is better.

The main difference between these Synthetic and Conventional Oils is the composition of the oils.
Synthetic oil is modified petroleum with artificial chemicals. The petroleum molecules are broken down and then rebuilt. On the other hand, conventional oil is generally refined after the extraction of crude oil from the ground. It is less refined than synthetic oil.

Synthetic and conventional oils differ in resistance to extreme temperatures.
Synthetic oil has a higher viscosity index, which makes it more stable in the face of temperature changes. In very low temperatures, it remains fluid. In high temperatures, it does not easily evaporate, which protects the engine from wear.

Yep, it is recommended that you use full synthetic engine oil for most modern cars, and conventional engine oil for diesel and older cars.
