What is the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R? I have wondered about this for years. If you think of DVD-R vs DVD+R, which is better? And what is DVD+R?

In this video I take a look at the differences between the two types of blank DVDs. Do people still use DVD-R? And what is the best blank DVD-R? What is the shelf life of blank DVDs? Do people still buy DVD movies? What is the best DVD burner? What is the best DVD burner for laptop? I have often asked myself all of these questions. I hope to look at all of these questions in upcoming videos.

I still have two Magnavox VCR/DVD recorder combinations. I still collect my favorite classic movies and tv shows recorded to DVD+Rs. I use -Rs too and can’t tell any difference between the two kinds of discs. I also wish blank VHS tapes weren’t so expensive nowadays. If so I’d still be using them too. I’m never going to give up my physical media collection for streaming services. Nor will I quit recording what I like to watch or listen to.

When you mentioned right at the end that burning DVD's is Becoming a thing of the past ... If you really think about it.. The amount of reasons for that even being true is ... I mean there's really (In my opinion) No such thing as any technology that's just totally without value dude to it's initial date of birth. Say you were like "aww I really wanna watch tommy boy right now" But you went n looked n it was just taken off netflix .. You really just didn't want to spend the youtube movie price for it.. N you were ABOUT to torrent it .. but your buddy is just like "wait.. What's this ? I feel something in my coat pocket!" whoomp There it is. Tommy boy on VHS ... Your other buddy is like .. "Hey my coat pocket's got a something a little bit .. 'extra' too .. what's goin'' on in here" removes (somehow) a complete VCR right out of his pocket with the long power cord still feeding out to which essentially made the whole thing look like child birth. Yep his pocket just poops out a little panasonic remote mixed with composite cables that musta been the placenta or "after birth"" But your like .. lookin at your flat panel HI DEF TV Set-up you have thinkin this is gonna look so raunchy on my TV's display .. but your other OTHER buddy who's sitting across the room wearing a very large Robert Stack Unsolved Mysteries style Trench Coat goes "Hold that thought" as his trench coat starts rumblin & everyones just like feeling the apartment shake with framed photo's falling off their nails & he just pulls out a Big Ol' VCR Friendly CRT TV complete with a pound of magnovox remote excrement with a users manual & you just kick back with you homies you know as "The Tommy Boyz" Lol
