Gates Bike Belt Drive Review

A carbon Belt drive lasts longer, doesn’t need lubrication, and is more reliable than a chain, so many people are switching over to belt drive bikes, instead of chain drive bikes. Those advantages make it an ideal choice for people who don’t want to do maintenance on their bikes, but if you use a belt drive, You don’t have as many different gears as you would on a chain driven bicycle. Some belt drive bikes have an internal hub with gears in it, but if you have an E bike, you’re stuck with one gear, which isn’t necessarily bad, depending on how much assist the electric motor gives you. in this video, I do a review and a close-up look at the gates, carbon belt drive on my bike. I have an 8-speed Shimano nexus internally geard hub and a gates carbon belt on my bike. You can also get bikes with Rholoff e14 and gates carbon belt.

What is the belt made from? Leaving it locked up on the street, I can see some malicious passerby taking out a pen-knife to cut it. Is that possible?

That would be ideal for geared hubs, belt looks overkill, could be slimmed down, the amount of torque would be very low compared to Motorized moped/bike.
