How to Fix the Game from CRASHING on PC ► Forza Horizon 5

My Forza Horizon 5 game kept crashing every time I opened it on my pc. It would crash in the loading screen and sometimes as soon as I get driving. This is how I was able to fix the issue and prevent Forza Horizon 5 from crashing.

the fact that you need to turn off half the pc just to play the game is a problem i had to refund the game because i couldnt get my crashing problem fixed. ill hopefully get the game again in the future when they fix a lot of the problems.

My solution what helped me:

- Make a shortcut to your desktop
- Close the Xbox app
- Run as Administrator
- If you get stuck at loading screen keep pressing Alt + Enter

This used to work for me everytime.

I find this happening with all my Microsoft store games. But I caught something that when a game has a warning when trying to quit to desktop like saying "are you sure you want to quit to desktop" that shows before crashing. But unfortunately for forza's case it doesn't have that warning and closes directly. I also found keeping my xbox app open in the background that whatever i input with my controller in game also gets inputted into to xbox app. I had another game launch while just playing forza. They need to get these bugs sorted asap

Honestly great vid man, this game is so weird when it comes to pc and I usually get crashes when I try to change the colour on my car which makes no sense however after closing down disc and riot vanguard it solved it. Thanks for the help dude 👍

Absolutely nothing works for me. I watched so many videos now a read loads of fixes but it's still crashing no matter what i do. I had the similar issue with FH3, spent 2 days strying to fix it but nothing worked (and that was january 2021) Game was crashing after few minutes of playing but here it just crashed at start up... (Funny that i had no problems at all playing FH4...)

The amount of crashes and memory leaks from this game is ridiculous. I'm still at the game introduction and it keeps crashing on the cutscene.

Thanks for the tutorial man, hope this helps me. I am playing the game using gameshare with a friend, and I get tired of solving the crash issues with having both my in game account and store account be the same, because I wont be able to access DLC. In previous games (mainly horizon 4) I had no problem with this and could run the game just fine. Hope they fix this soon.

Have deactivated all i can. For me the crashes fixed by reduce from 144fps to 72fps. Game ran fine, changed back to 144fps. Game runs like there was no problem before. Hope this will also help people. Couldnt even end the prologue.

Nothing seems to work for me tried so many things now even reinstalled it multiple times, but after passing the tutorial, my game keeps crashing when it starts loading. If i go back to the game i have to play the tutorial again, so now that i got 1, 5h of playtime at this game, the only thing i could do was to play the tutorial cuz i and skip it and cant pass it cuz of the crash. If i run as administrator, my game is like dead and i cant select anything. Hardware issues are not possible, got a rtx 3080, ryzen 9 3900x with 2x16Gb RAM ddr4 synced frequency with my cpu and 2Tb Nvme Gen 4 Ssd and 2Tb Ssd. So if i use ultra LOW settings on this game, turn of every other application, run it as admin and do all of that after a clean install of my game wich i checked for any download issues and every newest possible driver, my game keeps crashing at the same part, wich is the loading scene after finishing the introduction race. Idk what else i should do now.
