How About Indiana Jones Would Make a Bad Archaeologist?

Indiana Jones may be a legendary adventurer, but as an archaeologist, he'd probably get a failing grade. First off, he's all about the action and adventure, which isn't exactly the methodical, patient approach archaeology demands. Plus, he swipes valuable relics left and right, which is a major no-no in the real archaeology world. His whip-cracking antics and daring escapes are entertaining, no doubt, but they're more like a Hollywood action hero than a careful scientist. So, while he's a fantastic fictional character, his real-life archaeology skills might leave a lot to be desired.
