Why Don't Your Ice Cream Sandwiches Melt? - There are claims it has to do with ingredients. What are your thoughts?

We set out a Walmart Great Value sandwich, a Klondike Bar sandwich, and a cup of Haagen Dazs in the hot sun for 30 minutes.

The Haagen Dazs melted quickly into a puddle

The Klondike sandwich melted to a fair extent

The Walmart sandwich, though it melted a bit, remained the most solid in appearance, and still looked like a sandwich.

Another type of ice cream sandwich that doesn't melt is freeze dried ice cream sandwich which doesn't required any refrigeration. A freeze dried ice cream sandwich tastes like a cookie.

That's why Hagen Daz (I'm sure I completely misspelled that) is so much more tastier than ice cream sandwiches. They probably have one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted, especially vanilla.

A lot of stabilizers holds the structure of ice cream. It's cheap but you are not getting ingredients from its real source.

If those ice cream sandwiches sit in the freezer to long, they become gooey and sticky... I threw away a whole box, because I had forgotten about them and they all went gooey and sticky.. Throwing them away was definitely a good idea, I see.
