I've been wanting to try out some older bikes for a while now, and this year I figure is the time to have some fun with this! I don't have sponsorship obligations, which is nice, because I always like to be more free. I credit my Patrons for giving me the opportunity to do this, because they keep me free and funded to do fun projects like this!

HUGE thanks to all my PATRONS who take this channel farther! Enjoy more content:

I hope you like it, I put a lot of work into this video! And I am so stoked to have this Norco A-line that I dreamed about back in the day! It's a heavy bike and I could really feel it haha! Also those skinny handlebars were interesting! I would love to make this into some kind of series where I do upgrades and see how well I can shred with an older bike like this!

Thanks Brendan for the DSLR Footage!

Isn’t it obvious? Next year you have to ride a line on it!

I’ve been riding mtb since the early 90’s and bought my first “real” mountain bike in 95 - a Trek 950, so when I hear you refer to 2008 as “old school” I have to chuckle just a little! I do remember drooling over bikes in mountain bike magazines, though, and am really glad we’ve made so much progress technology wise with our bikes.

Everybody should have an old school bike. Mine is a 2008 Specialized Bighit and i love it.

This video is sick! Showing that oldschool bikes can still rip!

They be like “2003 is old” when I’ve been riding my 80s hardtail cannondale for 2 years and am just now getting a new bike

its so interesting how the older DH bikes just simply didn't care about weight at all. either the manufacturers didn't care or didn't have the technology to make the bikes lighter. it really puts into perspective that a DH bike nowadays can weigh as little at 32 pounds. what a difference time has made

Taking "26 never dies" to a whole new level. In Boostmaster style. Love it.

One thing that's cool about older bikes is modernizing them... I got 2005 GT Avalanche 2.0 and 2008 Santa Cruz Nomad and I got to say, wider bars and shorter stem makes a HUGE difference. Sick vid! Keep em coming and shred safely!

This thing is sick. I am an 04 kid but i LOVE old school freeride bikes! I have an 09 Norco Sasquatch and the thing is sick! It felt to small at first but that changed the exact same second i slapped some gold 780mm bars on it.😅

I had a 2012 Demo 8, I absolutely loved that thing. It was a park ripper, could throw that thing anywhere I wanted. Super playful. By far the best bike for fun ive ridden.

Jordan, love the video bud! I actually had every year Monster T made from '99 to '03 and the '03 was my favorite. Also, I weighed it and it came in at 8lbs with oil, heavy but didn't feel so bad.

I still rock my 2002 Super 8 with Avalanche suspension from time to time. I'll never sell that relic!

you know quarantine is bad when Jordan has nothing else to ride except older bikes, I loved the video!

I am currently restoring a Santa Cruz V10 MK1, it is the legacy of a friend who died in a professional XC career, I started with the pure frame and all that remains is to paint and assemble, it is a work of engineering well ahead of its time
