i only just discovered this channel about a month ago, but it's quickly become one of my faves when it comes to covers as well as genre-flipping. cause unlike alot of other cover artists who aim to genre-flip songs, especially by turning them into pop punk songs, this man actually understands how there are DIFFERENT sounds and signatures within a genre like pop punk. so making something a "punk version" or "rock version" isn't just about singing the song louder and adding thrashing drums or aggressive riffs; it's about creating a whole new melody that makes the song new, but still falls within the vast soundscape that is pop punk or punk rock. same thing goes for when he turns the songs country, or into worship music. it's amazing and so refreshing to listen to.
