Fun fact: Dvi comes in different varieties. Either you have a dvi analog version or one of the digital versions.
Dvi is actually still a thing as digital version

DVI had many advantages compared to VGA. For once DVI could be either analog or digital, that's why the VGA-DVI adapters, but also HDMI-DVI adapters were possible. DVI analog has a similar max resolution like VGA but the digital can even go up to 4k (maybe higher, don't know). That's why modern cards can still be equipped with a DVI port (actually these are just HDMI signals over DVI). And DVI supports audio, also an interesting feature.

I have an old Samsung Syncmaster from 2009. DVI Boeing able to Transit both Digital and analog signals (supported by some common Dvi Versions) is such a nice Feature.

Jumping from vga to dvi was the biggest graphical jump i ever witnessed (switched to dvi at around 2019)

VGA was based. you'd screw the cable down and could apply 100lbs of force and shit wouldn't budge.

After having DVI from VGA. I literally feel its much better due to image sharpness from analog to digital

VGA. Even though the monitors came with DVI, the one that we used didn't come with a DVI cable, and laptops also had no support for DVI. Right now I use DisplayPort and HDMI. I do have a DVI to HDMI cable to make old monitors still usable for my laptop because now it doesn't come with a VGA either.

I also continue using vga, and it works fine, the only thing is that I have to use an HDMI to VGA adapter to accommodate the monitor to my GPU
