Injured on the job. Eye was gouged by a elderly resident. Cornea procedure was performed nearly five months after the injury. Two scars in my injured eye developed while waiting for the procedure. I now experience double vision. Objects further than ten inches away are viewed as double. My non injured eye is affected by the DV. My workers comp doctor said the DV occurred due to the amount of time it took to do the cornea transplant. In his words, “We took too long to do your procedure which is why you now have double vision.” He also stated my DV will be a life long issue for me.

I currently have a workers comp attorney handling my case. The WC doctor has been brushing me aside from my post op appointments. Disappointment is putting my situation mildly.
