The best advise is to determine how a firm distributes work to junior associates. Go to a firm with a centralized process of distributing work evenly.

Hi Cece. I’m aware this is quite a vague question but I know very little about the world of law at the moment. I’m entering the final year of my English literature degree and law is definitely an avenue that interests me, although I’m not set on it. Mostly I want to get some experience in the field - do you have any advice for getting internships during the summer period, post graduation? I feel I’m at a slight disadvantage as I know most firms prefer law or stem students, but I still want to try my hand. Thing is I have no idea how to get my foot in the door or what would make me look more appealing as an intern. Also I’m from the UK, I have no clue if it’s much different but any advice or opinions would be valuable!! Much love x
