Corporate responsibility needs to evolve if businesses are going to rebuild trust and provide real value for society.

Blamed the government; Avoided the question of corporations corrupting politicians (really, he didn't answer that at all); Suggested even Social Democracy, which is the bare minimum, is also too much for business and can't politically represent business interests; Used Walmart as some positive example (so out of touch); Says he likes to describe things, instead of pushing an agenda, while having a book called "Tomorrow's Capitalism" (or whatever that was);

His conclusion is business wants to solve the problem, business is the problem solver, but the problem is they don't have anyone in the government to talk to. Have they tried lining up the pockets of politicians with millions of dollars and nice executive positions after mandates? It seems like that would be a proven strategy.

Trust in business is so high people are calling our economic system a corporatocracy and investors + executives our oligarchs. So much trust UwU

The government has created a system in which it yielded its power to companies. The way this guy talks about CEO’s and companies is how we used to speak about our politicians and government.
