Chicken Sudden Death

My 3 year old Buff Orpington (Omelette) died suddenly while sitting in her nest box. I'm thinking either heart attack or aneurysm

Mine had a heart attack in my arms and it was my favorite chicken so I was balling my eyes out

My precious Wyandotte passed this week... she just turned a year old... I have a Cornish as well she’s fine but missing her buddy... I’m so heartbroken.... they’re pets raised indoors.... sweetest things... Blackie would always let me know when Blondie was doing things she shouldn’t... she was so precious...they have their own beds next to mine... and a nesting area close by.... it wasn’t unusual for either one to lay an egg at night... I just happened to wake up in the middle of the night and Blackie was in the nesting area on her side in pain ...I immediately picked her up and she died in my arms...so sad especially for Blondie I would give anything to have those precious moments back... I miss my little Fluffy Butt

I love having birds as pets, they r so cute when they r babies, but when they die as an adult, I feel so sad, bcus they r mostly sudden deaths, and they r so confused and helpless while dying

It looks to me like the chicken tried to teleport using her mind. She was successful, but the effort killed her.

I just found one of my buff orpington dead in the run tonight. No warning signs, she wasn't sick and was running around and eating a few hours before. Went to go lock the coop up for the night and found her dead down in the indoor run. She was still warm...I don't get it. It's was SUDDEN! I'm on YT trying to figure out what could be the reason.

Mine had an infection in her leg an my dad had to put her down and he did it without telling us.he told us multiple days later. We never got to say goodbye may she Rest In Peace.

My favorite chicken died of whats probably the saddest and most painful death possible for her today... She had fly strike and we didnt even realize it until it was too late. We tried our best to save her, but we couldn't.

my chicken died of heart attack she became 6 and died of a heart attack. i was trying to reanimate her after a few hours. but it failed. she was also my favorite chicken. and died a few days ago

Lost my beautiful Rooster yesterday that I raised from chick. He passed in my arms. Man I miss him.

My chicken just had her first baby chick...hours gone by and she died(just now) leaving her 1 chick and 4 eggs. This is so sad and stressful I don't know what to do to the chick and eggs

My chicken had just died too I just found her in the coop laying down...the last two eggs she had laid seemed to have splatters of blood on them. I just finished cleaning out the coop so the other hens wouldn’t be affected. She was a golden laced chicken and she was only a year old I’m guessing she died at around 7:00 today on the 24th of June, it was 67 degrees outside, my other chickens weren’t affected so I’m fussing it wasn’t a predator, and I seriously have no clue what it was..?

Can this happen to baby chicks because mine just died today probably 1 week old and since we got her she was always weak and tired and barely got up to eat and drink and would get trampled on by our other chickens and she wouldn't even move and when she'd get up she would instantly fall back asleep. I was watching her and suddenly she did exactly what happened in this video
