Guys you gotta get the ful script of what Jerry west was saying. He basically says that he shouldn't disrespect those "plumbers and firemen". First thing he was saying, it's a different time so he acknowledged that. But then he basically says JJ has no right to criticize Bob Cousy and other greats that precedes them and built the league because JJ hasn't contributed to the league that significantly.

If anyone has the right to talk back, its West. He's been active on the league after his retirement, building teams and bringing great players to the league. He know about today's game more than anyone. Y'all should watch point forward podcast with West as the guest.
