It always comes back to fundamentals. What Reddick doesn't seem to understand, for whatever reason, is that the game has EVOLVED, one generation to the next, determined and propelled the relentless push of COMPETITION. Each generation builds upon the previous, consciously and unconsciously. If Kyrie were dropped on a court in the 60s they'd ooh and ahh and then they'd learn the moves. Kyrie's lineage is directly related to the 70s (his father), the 2000s (Kobe, Iverson) and naturally the 80s-90s with Jordan, Magic and Isaiah. You see all of those skills and styles in him. And you can see the same things even with a player like Jokic. He's like a 7ft Magic. But the necessities of COMPETITION, recently pioneered by Steph Curry, Lebron, and KD, have stretched and opened the court and forced coaches to stop pigeon-holing players into what they can and can't do based on their size.
