What is ADHD and how does it relate to nutritional deficiencies? Watch this video to find out..

Does your child or friend/family member have a sweet tooth?

Dr. Berg talks about ADHD and nutritional deficiencies.
Symptoms of ADHD
• Inattention
• Hyperactive
• Forgetful
• Temper tantrums
• Sleep disorder
• Aggressive behavior

If you have a B12 deficiency, you have a lot of problems with neurotransmitters which would be serotonin for your mood and sleep, and dopamine for your emotions. Adrenalin for the inability to sit there comfortably for a period and feel anxious all the time.
• B6 deficiency: this controls concentration and is very hyper.
• B1 deficient: very restless, the mind will race, distracted easily, and not able to learn.
• B3 deficient: cognitive issue, forgetfulness memory problems, depression.
• Vitamin D deficiency: depression, memory problems, the mind will be racing

The big problem is not getting it from the diet but kids these days are eating things that are depleting all their nutrition such as refined carbohydrates(sugar, bread, pasta..etc).

Change your eating habits and take nutritional yeast.

Diagnosed at 52 years old with ADHD. Ditching junk food and moving to a whole foods diet and lots of dark green leafy veg, plus vegan kelp omega-3 supplementation made such a huge difference that no more need for meds. Not a quick fix though, it took two years on a whole foods diet before I saw a dramatic improvement in ADHD symptoms. And I avoid refined sugary foods like the plague as this makes the ADHD dramatically worse for days.

Ever since experimenting with keto, I've noticed that my adhd was just not a problem anymore. After learning about vitamin depletion, it all makes total sense to me. I still have to get used to living a life without symptoms, It's honestly a bit weird for me still, but I have barely any inflammation, way more control over myself, better focus, clearer vision (no blurry eyes anymore) and less eye allergy symptoms. Little impulsivity, less resistance to doing tasks. I should start taking the nutritional yeast I got recently!

I want to say thank you. I'm not there yet fully, but I now posess the knowledge on how to pretty much get rid of adhd. Without you, lots of people would have to suffer for the rest of their lives. Much love from the Netherlands

This is so true! I've been a nanny for 25 years, and the kids that I've cared for that eat more of a carb and sugar based diet definitely have more behavior problems!

I’ve been dealing with this with all 3 of my daughters and they’ve been suffering so much, especially at school. This video and your info, Dr. Berg, is an answer to prayer! I’m in tears; I’m feeling so relieved.

I'm 53 and just now have realised I had/ have ADHD. All my life until finding this channel 6weeks ago I have lived on a high carb high sugar diet. My folks had a store when I was growing up and I was constantly eating sweets. Sugar has ruled my entire life but thanks to Dr Berg I'm finally overcoming my addiction. I'm hopeful to see a positive change in my ability to concentrate on studying. I thought I was just getting old (lol) but I don't accept that excuse anymore. Thanks Dr Berg😁😁.

I agree, but there are additional deficiencies often associated with ADHD: iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, omega 3, and more.

My son is autistic and has ADHD and is 12 yrs old. For the last week, I have started giving my son a smoothie every night as a treat with me. I put some supplements in there (your sea kelp and trace minerals plus other stuff). He does not get a full dose but, some in hopes of helping. He always asks for more but, I tell him tomorrow we can have another. I even put Aleo Vera and Nopal Cactus in it. One night, I did not put the supplements in and he noticed a difference and said he did not like it as well, what did I do different? I am trying to change our diet slowly. He seems more mellow but, I will have to get back to you on this. One thing I did notice is that the dark ring around his eyes have disappeared. So something is going on inside his body. I picked up some Nutritional Yeast like you requested to put in some of his foods as well. Plus, I bought an Excalibur dehydrator to make some NON wheat bread/wraps and crackers to cut back on the carbs. Also, we will be starting to use cauliflower instead of rice and zucchini instead of noodles. We really need a change. Thanks again for all you do. Best wishes.

Thank you. I am following your recommendations for nutritional supplementation. Started on them about 4 and a half months ago. The improvement was gradual, but consistent. At the time I was accustomed to persistent fatigue and anxiety, as well as a decades-old poor memory and inability to focus and concentrate. And, for decades I've been acquainted with "brain fog" which I used to describe as "being muddy headed ". I continue to take these supplements because they have uncluttered my mind and life. No more waking up fatigued and worried. No more grasping for words when I'm trying to communicate with others. Less and less forgetfulness, more and more able to begin and finish tasks (emptying the dishwasher took days). I could go on and on. When I decided to try these recommendations I did so believing it sure wouldn't hurt to try. I'm 75 years old and all my life the diagnoses have been depression and anxiety, unsuccessfully treated. These supplements and a healthy diet work for me. Thanks again.

To summarize: If you're deficient in B vitamins and vitamin D, you'll have all the symptoms of ADHD.
My confusion: I eat eggs, meat etc and avoid processed sugars but still struggle.

I cured my bipolar disorder by correcting diet, exercise and supplements, and you're right correcting vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
I will share this on FB.
Love your outtakes. LOL!

Keto has done wonders for my ADHD, I really wish I'd done it years ago. Also having noticable benefits taking Sulbutiamine with Choline. B vitamins are a must!

Hi Dr. Berg, I notice many of your videos address common problems from a nutritional perspective (I assume this influences brain chemistry also), which has been very insightful. I have watched your solutions to cravings video, but would you consider doing a video addressing binge/compulsive eating?

My son has inattentive ADHD (forgetful, inattention, no concept of time passage). Though we still deal with some of this, he has improved greatly after we discovered a dairy intolerance (causing headaches). We did an elimination diet in June to find out if it could be diet. When dairy was reintroduced, he became sick. During that month his brain became a sponge. It seemed his I intelligence increased. Just a few years ago(16 years old) an occupational therapist said he was 11 years behind in motor skills. Last year at 17 he was doing 4th grade work. 3 weeks ago with a cleaner diet he took a college placement test and blew everyone away. Even the test proctor was shocked. He tested college level everything. 4th grade last year, college this year. He doesn't like not having dairy but it's worth it.
Dr. Berg could you go over how dairy can affect behavior? Lactose & casein?
