Thank you for posting this video. I didn’t have any coke so I used a thumb tack to clean out the hole in the main jet and it worked. Fired right up and stayed running. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for this video. I accidentally poured pure water which got in my gas tank I left outside and got rained in. I am so thankful to the Lord I decided to dump it out and refill it up with fresh gas. Now it runs fine. No issues. Thank Jesus

It's always that main jet, isn't it? Over the years, I've "rehabilitated" and saved three mowers put out for trash pickup that way--one of them a 22 inch Toro recycler, where the drive feature still worked! I'm still using it.

Great advise.. Had the exact same problem... I only soaked the part for a couple hours and did use a small wire to ensure the holes were good. My last step was to buy some non ethanol gas... It runs like NEW!! THANKS!!

Hi All, Be sure to first check the air filter! That will be an easier fix to explore before emptying the gas tank and cleaning the carburetor and jet. I was searching for the carburetor on my Toro, when I unlatched the air filter cover. Whoaa!! The air filter was caked full of grass, dust and mud. I went to Ace to get a new B&S air filter. I popped in the replacement, closed the cover, and the mower started right up. If this didn't solve the problem, then I would have no choice but to follow the instructions here. Thank you, Jeff!

Works perfect now! I did exactly what you said. Except what I did as well was 1. I took all the old gas out first, then put high-quality gas in along with some heet (to remove moisture)
2. I then I drained it all out through the opening you show

3. Cleaned out the opening in the bolt
4 reassembled it started perfectly

Um jeff is that a regulation gas container? You know the red and or orange color is so that during an emergency everyone can quickly Identify that it holds a flammable and explosive substance. Anyway thank you for the information about my lawn mower.
