Thanks for this. Mower wouldn't start. I followed all your steps and blew through everything. I managed to reassemble correctly, and the mower started on the first pull. I can't say I even know what might have been clogged, as everything looked fairly clean, but I'm not worried about it. Videos like yours give me the confidence to try to fix things I would otherwise never attempt. Thanks for your efforts.

One thing it's got me confused is this thing is probably not might got more than 15 hours of runtime so it has to be due to the damn fuel setting up in the carburetor. Thank you! Got my mower running again in just a few minutes. My center jet in the carb was plugged as well. I covered both exterior holes with my finger and thumb on that inner shaft and blew into it like a balloon and some crud shot out. Also made sure that my auto-choke was wide open

Dammit you make it look so easy😊 my mower will start but then it dies right away I put on a clean air filter cuz the air filter was filthy it will start and then died so then just on the side of caution I went ahead and change the spark plug but it still does the exact same thing so I'm thinking it's the carburetor or bad fuel but when I watch you take apart the carburetor it went very smoothly for you I do not imagine it will be the same for me.

Thank you! My lawnmower stopped working yesterday. I didnt know what i was doing but i took the carburetor cover off and it was so dirty. I cleaned it. Have to finsih today. I cannot get my spark plug off. I dk what im.doing wrong? Great video!

Just for balance, I abuse mine ferociously mowing rocks and sticks for many years now and it’s always started and run great. But I think I finally plugged the main jet so I got to clean it.

Damnt i do this for a living and never worked on this version of a toro or this version of autochoke. I took it apart last summer and lost a ton of pieces. I didn't remove the choke linkage or the air/vacuum lines to the air box or valve cover, im guessing is where one of them goes but they are missing. Got a good shot of the linkage so hopefully o can make my own and hopefully the rusty return mechanism still works right it feels halfway like it does surprisingly. Got a good shot of the linkage so I hope to get it close enough to operate correctly otherwise ill be leaking it manual choke since it's for personal use this go round and not a customer. The piece of linkage and auto piece that the linkage attaches to is more than the kit I got In 1 day that included airfilter housing airfilter, sparkplug, carb, springs, and even fuel line and a fuel filter and cutoff valve which wasn't on it stock but kinda a mkce add on. All the gaskets. Just everything except the two main linkages. Put it together and realized I had no clue anything about the choke don't think it was there when I started last summer but I lost a ton of parts over the off season so just ordered the kit even though my carb itself was fine. The kit was 40 and got it in a day. The full autochoke setup is 20 something for the auto return piece and al.ost 20 for just the linkage and its predicting a week amd half shipping on the only correct linkage I could find. If I could get a kit for it for like 10 or 15 I'd just buy it bit f it. I am about to rewatch and hope I can see where the couple.lines for the airbkx lead. I suspect it'll be obvious when you get further Into it. Thanks for the simple video. Usually I wouldn't meed it but a year away from something and lost parts turns into a puzzle. Its running great now except for the choke freely flopping around causing it to be irratic. Worse case it'll be manual lol but ima attempt to make linkage for it first.
