I wish Anne would be discussed as much as Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria. It was Anne who was able to get the Treaty of Unification between Scotland and England (basically making a treaty between herself) in 1707 becoming the first Queen of Great Britain. There were other good things that happened during her reign.

Thank you for this piece on Queen Anne. She is a fascinating woman and monarch. IMHO she doesn't always get the recognition of some of the other monarchs. Many great things happened during her reign and she is well remembered. Thank you again

Anne's story should be told more often. A Shakespearean Tragedy in real life. As sad and depressing her life was, she still did her duty to her people. Even though her influence may not be remembered as well or fondly as Elizabeth I or Victoria (Or even Mary) Her traits outweigh each of them when it comes to being a good person. I truly believe Anne was a good person, and queen. Thank You for this!

Thank you Jon for your thorough work on Queen Anne. She’s the most underrated Queen IMO. I can’t imagine all her pain and suffering she endured. With a friend like Sarah who needs enemies. Poor Anne. I admired her fortitude. Looking forward to your next video. Take care.

Thank you for the history on these “forgotten” royals. We can’t put all the pieces together without them, and you’ve made sure we don’t have to try alone. You are a true teacher. 🤩👏🏽💛

The Anglo-German composer Handel wrote the birthday ode "Eternal Source of Light Divine" for Anne's last birthday (she died later that year.)It is one of the most stunning pieces of music ever and I'll probably have it at my funeral.Incidentally it was sung as the piece of entrance music for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in St George's chapel Windsor.

For a woman who had a dad (James II) who was sometimes cold hearted and an uncle (Charles II) who made it clear often he did not care much to be accurate about how women think and who was sometimes insensitive to the feelings of others, Queen Anne tried often to show tact, dignity, and know herself.

Poor lady, all those lost children. Charles II should have legitimized Monmouth and thus kept James II from executing him, it was not like it was the first time, since the progenitor was William the Bastard (the Conqueror).

My father used to make furniture and the Queen Anne chair leg was still popular in the 1960's. It is a tribute to her that I knew her name before the other more famous monarchs and a sign she had cultural eminence.
