I went to a Catholic Church and received the Eucharist for the first time on Easter without knowing the that it was the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. Fast forward three years and I will receive it again in the same church this Easter as a full Catholic having been through RCIA. I thank God everyday that I decided to go that one Easter three years ago.

Last Easter I got in line to receive the Eucharist after just leaving Islam, not knowing that I was not supposed to. Now after many months of RCIA I’ll be receiving the Eucharist again on the Easter Vigil but this time it’ll be licit. I’ve never been more excited for anything else

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever hear. One Christian telling another Christian the taking communion is damning to them....

I remember when my friend took me to a Father’s Day mass with her family back in 2018. She told me that I could go up and receive the Eucharist but I just knew something felt off and that I probably shouldn’t.. like I wasn’t a part of this and shouldn’t take it without knowing what it means.. well, I ended up doing it because she said “it’s fine it’s fine!” .. fast forward to 2022, I learned that I shouldn’t of done that without discerning the body. I felt so bad but I also repented for my unknowing act. Fast forward again to 2023, I became Catholic on Easter. Thank you Jesus.

Love all the scripture being used here. Good work.

I disagree with this . When Jesus broke bread with his disciples he didn’t put any stipulations. Even judas who betrayed him took part in the Eucharist . Jesus wants all to partake in him . Not just Catholics .

Catholics seem to put so much faith in themselves. They have to try so hard to keep all these little details correct or their soul is at risk.

God wants us to put our faith solely In Him. Just because we fail sometimes as Christians, our souls can remain righteous because it’s Christ who intercedes for us. Our failures and sins are imputed onto Him who became sin for us.

Thank you for this. My husband got in line, I thought to get a blessing, but instead accepted the Eucharist as the priest gave it to him. I felt like the bounty commercial in my head screaming I later told him he was not supposed to take it unless he's been baptized and in the state of grace. He thought that was dumb and didn't understand why it's that way. He hasn't been back since. Still pray for his conversion, though. ❤

Shout out to all of my fellow brand new Catholic brothers and sisters, who were confirmed and truly took the Eucharist for the very first fime. And thank you to our mature Catholic brothers and sisters for helping us with our faith walk. He is RISEN!!!

At its core, the Eucharist is supposed to be a gift, not a test. He broke bread with tax collectors and prostitutes.
He welcomed the unclean, the unworthy, the confused, the broken-hearted.

Jesus didn’t say, “Only if you sign off on every doctrine can you eat, ” — He said:

“Take and eat; this is my body.” – Matthew 26:26
“Do this in remembrance of me.” – Luke 22:19

"Whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” – John 6:37

If YOU have accepted CHRIST and have been BAPTIZED and LIVING for HIM (state of grace, repentance) you can take the EUCHARIST.

"Charge it to their account" that right there just seems so off.

Why would you set a separation between denominations? Aren't all of us followers of Jesus Christ!?

Genuine question here my brother in Christ; I was raised Catholic (baptized, catechism, and confirmed) and became Protestant when I met my husband (baptized again). I’ve learned so much about both of these Christian religions but still have questions about both as well. In this video you said that receiving the Eucharist in an illicit manner would charge our account, hasn’t Jesus already paid for all of the charges on our account and do we not only need to repent of our sins to be truly forgiven?
If this is “illicit” how is that different than when as a catholic, I would go to confession on Friday and even though I would do my best to remain sinless, in my humanness, I would inevitably have sinned in one way or another and still be ok to have received the Eucharist on Sunday? Receiving the body of Christ was originally done so in celebration “eat and drink in remembrance of me, for this is my body/blood that was given for you”

It is VERY important to remember that we are supposed to be in a state of grace to receive the Eucharist. Venial sin can be dealt with by whole heartedly saying an act of contrition (which is just expressing to God sincere sorrow for your errors and the intent to attend confessions and do penance). But if there is mortal sin like missing Holy Masses for no valid reason, drunkenness, etc we are supposed to go to confessions first. I didn’t always know this even as a cradle catholic. Some people think that Catholics going to confessions is wrong or should not be an obligation. I will say after returning to regular confessions about 10 years ago it has become a necessity in my life. And many priests in my experience give kind and insightful advice. God Bless all.

You are all welcome at my church to take communion humbly with the body of Christ. Remembering what Jesus has done for you and reminding yourself to live a life worthy of His act of sacrifice on our behalf. Praise God for His love and mercy towards us.

This applies to ANYONE;

1Co 11:27  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, UNWORTHILY, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Mat 26:45  Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

If you still sin,
You are unworthy to partake.
