Naturehike Cloud Peak 2: Budget Camp Champion! First Pitch, Setup & Review | 4-Season Tent

The Nature Hike Cloud Peak 2 is a very sort after 4 Season tent. This is a budget Tent but definitely don't let that put you off. it's solid design and quality puts it right up there with similar designed and a lot more expensive counterparts.

Straight out of the bag you can feel how well this shelter is put together. The shape for those who don't know is dome which is fantastic for the cold winter evenings when you can't venture out too far and need to stay huddled up. You can fully sit up in it which is something I'm not used to.

Inside is very roomy, lots of space for two people and features a single pocket for storage and a hook for your lantern. It also features two symmetrical doors that open up to reveal two huge vestibules ti store your belonging.

This is just a first time set up of this tent and not a review. I hope you enjoy the video as I was very excited at receiving this awesome tent as a gift from my good friend Chris over at MCM Outdoors.

There is a link below to his channel and please head over there and give him a sub. I am 100% sure you won't be disappointed.

Nice one Ant, great tent and well done Chris for the gift. The footprint clips to the bottom of the tent saves the faff of pegging it out 👍 Also tie the hood on one of the points, one so it doesn’t blow away and two so you know which way it goes on, I wrap the bungees around the pole too, stops the flapping, also also 😂 wrap the guy-lines around the poles gives the tent more stability 👍

Clip the first two pole clips on each side of each pole and the pole will stay upright, do this to each pole in turn makes it easier to put up

Great looking tent Ant loads of space, just my opinion but I’m not sure if I would want to be trying to get them poles right on a mountain top in a heavy rain..?? Still I’m sure there is a trick to making that easier. As you said great bathtub bottom and loads of ventilation.👍👍

Now that Ant looks a great tent and perfect colour for wild camping. Looking forward to seeing you putting it through its paces on a wild camp. Certainly looks a great size and you could see you are well chuffed with it and what a great bloke Chris is MCM outdoors is. Take it easy pal.

The only thing that concerns about tents with foot prints is, if not completely covering the foot print, rain water running of the tent hits the foot print then runs to the lowest point and if that happens to be the centre of the tent you could find yourself sleeping on a water bed. Of course people pay a lot of money for water beds so if it happens consider it a luxury. I made this mistake many years ago after erecting one in the dark, and was to tired to pay attention to detail. Back then hydrostatic heads were not very good and I woke up wet, cold and feeling like I was sleeping in a swamp, so I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it.

I got one after Phil r6 recommended it. It's took some weather! For the £ you can't go wrong. It's so strong and sturdy. You can easily cook in the vestibule and it fits 2 if needed. You'll love this tent and it'll last ages. If you get any flappy hat issues add some tarp clips and a bit of guy line and it helps!

Nice one Ant, they're great tents by all accounts.
If the hat has different cut-outs for doors and sides, I'd be tempted to tie bright string or tape to the door (side) hook lines so you're not faffing about on a cold, dark and windy evening.

It's awesome when you get the tent you want. I've been after helm 2 for such a long time was walking in sports direct and seen the helm 2 compact just on the bottom shelf of their outdoor section. Pick it up straight away.

The following week had a bit more luck managed to get an osprey atmos ag 65 from £265 down to £134 from go outdoors because they had put the bags in the wrong section.
