As someone who is bald also, I appreciate being able to see how they look on a bald head before I buy them :). All other Youtube reviewers have hair, how dare they!

I’m still on QC35 for a lot of tasks. I have to buy new ear cups twice a year and micro usb sucks, but they’re still great

Just left my qc45's on an airplane and picked up a set of the quiet comforts before my next flight. I had no idea what the difference between the two was, which is what brought me here. First of all THANK YOU for the clarification! I have to say two things though...

1. I notice a huge difference in the noise cancelling between the two. Not in amount or quality, but as in I no longer hear a slight whirring sound in the background while using these headphones. Such a relief! They were pretty bad on my qc35 II's, significantly better on the qc45's but still noticeable, and now with the qc's I seem to BARELY notice that whirring sound anymore.

2. By far most importantly and noticeably, I no longer hear a static noise or experience breaking up with the new qc's. My qc35 II's never had any issues with this so when I upgraded to the qc45's I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. I exchanged 2 different sets through Bose directly and tried countless "reset's" and firmware updates, and nothing. I just lived with it as much as I hated it. I loved the usb c too much to go backwards. With the new qc's this is no longer a problem AT ALL! Worth every penny and I'm almost GLAD I lost my qc45's on the airplane.

Hope these two points help others make a decision as to whether it's worth the upgrade or not. Thanks again for the helpful video! I would've been left scratching my head otherwise.

Best comparison I've seen by far and you are one of the rare reviewers that believes there are real differences.

Mark - I"m in Texas and have used Bose for many years. I must say your presentation is one of the most delightful experiences I've seen on any product. Big thanks for your effort and time to do this. You helped me a lot and I'll recommend you to other Bose users as well. You are clear, to the points, easy to follow and very informative. Plus your studio setup was excellent. (I'm a retired video producer.) Well done sir.

The ANC creates a pressure ear feeling and I find it more comfortable to turn it off when not needed. So returning the QC 45 for that reason.

I got a pair of 45s last year and love them! They sure are THE most comfortable I've worn. A software update has provided those nice modes, wind block and NC levels for the 45s now. Awesome!

perfect review man. you basically answered all the important questions between these two headphones. i got cyprus green and looks solid sound is great. anc great. comfort great. only issue is obviously it doesn't have the higher fidelity codecs but that will only matter for some. got them on sale for $250 so for that I think it's definitely worth it.

I really did think I was somehow missing something in regards to the complaints about the inability to turn off ANC and then there you were voicing my exact thoughts and now I feel a little better because it's not just thanks. I absolutely love these always going to be better out there as with anything but these nail the fundamentals brilliantly, look fantastic & sound is top notch & that makes the sound even better. Thanks for a great review & video, stay safe & enjoy your

Another great video from you Sir, always learning something new and very entertaining
As someone who tried most of the over ear headphones you are absolutely right and let me add:
Bose nc 700 feels really comfy and stable on the head, after setting eq max sounds warm, decent base,
After trying the Quietcomfort was the chosen one and returned the 700
Airpod max amazing sound, premium built but too expensive and feels weird on the head, quite heavy too
Sony mx 4 and 5 very good anc, sound rich but Bose feels more comfy and less heat and found more details in songs
B&w px7s2 sounds rich but not as comfy and ANC could be a bit better
Momentum 4 unbeatable battery, very detailed open sound stage a bit too bulky for people with smaller heads and feels a bit too loose
Beats Studio pro very uncomfortable, rich sound, cool design and unique colours

My recommendation try them as they are all different and can be suitable for various reasons and individual preferences
Listening country type of music with many instruments, active base and rich vocals can give you a good idea how they perform
For example Wilder Path by Josh Gaulton

Hope it helps

All the best

Still using my QC 15 since 2009. It’s gone through many ear cup replacements and one head band cushion replacement. It’s time to get the Quietcomfort after 15 years

Just bought a pair of QC45 because they were $229 at Best Buy and the QC was still over $300. No regrets 😃

Owned a pair for about 8 months so far. The sound isolation is honestly like magic and still i can listen for around 24 hours per and they weigh basically nothing and it comes with a quality carrying case unlike apple and they sound astonishingly good. Just get them.

Honestly, my 6 years old Bose QC35s are like the old reliable of headphones. They just won’t give up on me, no matter how much I use them. It’s pretty awesome, actually. I keep switching between my QC35 and QC45, especially when one’s juicing up. Can’t complain - they’re both solid!
And as Bob Barker said “the price is right” (judging by its quality and long lasting)😂

Probably the best thoroughly reviewed video I’ve ever seen! Thank you! Didn’t know the 700 were discontinued!
