So when the Bose QC45’s first came out last year, I wasn’t all that impressed by them. But now, a year later and thanks to some very important firmware upgrades and some missteps from other companies… the Bose QC45’s are my daily drivers, they’re my favorite headphones to travel with, and right now, they are my favorite headphones to recommend. Now they do have their short comings and they do have room for improvement, but I really feel that they give more premium ANC headphones like the Sony 1000XM5’s, Sennheiser Momentum 4’s or AirPods Max a real run for their money.

It's really good that you do these update videos because I have also found these have got better over time. For example when this came out they didn't even include an EQ. When I initially reviewed these I was not impressed but after trying loads of other headphones., including the Momentum 4, these are the ones I seem to still be holding on to!

I'm still using qc35 I bought 6 years ago 😂😂😂 gym almost every day. Replaced cups cushions twice. No problem with them at all

Love you you are clipping between the headphones as you speak. It makes the picture match what you talk about. Super impressive

Once you experience the comfort on these headphones, you can’t go back to other headphones lol. The NC is so impressive as well. It blocks out so much noise and you still feel comfortable due to the very low cabin pressure. You experience the true peace of noise cancelling with these. Xm5 or airpods max may block out slightly more noise but you can’t appreciate the silence due to the cabin pressure lol

You can get the QC45 for even less if you buy Bose QuietComfort SE. They are the same headphones ⚠ as confirmed by Bose reps. They even show up as QC45 when you connect them. The SE is just replacing the hardcase with a cloth one.

Agree I have the 45 and they are my favorite of all time but my only thing is I wish they were more durable . Otherwise the Bose are the most comfortable I've ever owned and I would recommend them over my old Sony XM4 any day

I had QC 35...My dog had some fun with them and they're gone.Unfortunately you can't to buy new ones anymore so I bought Sony XM4...after 2 months heading back to Bose...this time 45's. We'll see :) Sony has to much bass and they have to much clamping force, also earpads aren't so spacious as on Bose 35. I hope 45 aren't worse than 35...Thanks GYMCADDY for adding this update review.

I watched your reviews on these products back to back - the one a little over a year ago and this one. You definitely weren't as high on these initially but you still did like them, just not as much as today. I have the QC35's and they are still pretty good but I have been noticing some strange things happening intermittently with them (oddly sometimes they won't turn off - need to plug them in and then unplug them). For me comfort, noise cancelling and sound quality (in that order) are most important. So it looks like I will wait for the QC45's to go on sale again and pick them up for under $300. Thank you for the update!

I’ve been using the xm4 for a year now and they have been great! I remember trying the qc35 ii compare to the xm4 and because I like bass, I went with the xm4. Honestly, when it comes to comfort, nothing can beat Bose! Since they have added an eq for these, I’m thinking about trying them! I just hate the fact that my ears slightly touch the pad on the xm4 and they also tend to get a bit hot in long sessions. I don’t recall having this issue with Bose.

I was at the store recently and was deciding on which headphones to buy, but after trying every single one at the store above 200€ I had no choice but to choose the Bose QC45 because for some reason these were the ONLY ones that fitted me and werent loose. And I love them! Great for Gym use too and for people with glasses! I actually have a small head and contrary to what you said in the video, i think they are small head approved too. Idk how thats possible tho lol.

I recently bought them on the Bose site. I do love them, and they are very comfortable for my big head. The case is small compare with the other brands at these same price range!. Just bought mine last month. I was torn between apple airpods max and bose QC45 but good thing I trusted my feeling to go with QC45. The comfort it gives is incomparable!!! ❤️

If you could only turn the ANC off or have them on the low level would make them a perfect hit for me. It's so sad they removed it when it was available on their predecessors. I don't care about the acoustic sound system, but the fact of not being able to turn it off is an absolute dealbreaker for anyone that is disturbed by wind noise.

Just bought sony XM5, because it's cheaper in my country (Indonesia) compare to the alternative often mentioned in this channel, with (15.639 idr equal to 1 usd) XM5 is around $285-294 here, XM4 is $242, QC 45 is $370, Momentum 4 is $345, APM is $504, so sony product is quite popular here

The QC 35 had a slip pocket at the back that was amazing to passport, boarding card etc while travelling, sad to see it go in the 45s. The QC 35 also had the option to turn ANC fully off.

I got those QC45 a month ago and i feel like the ANC is working a bit less than how it did in the beginning, i wonder if it's just me or not

Thanks! Without ability to deactivate both NC and Transp. Mode theyre unusable for Bicycle Riders because of the Windnoise.

So i will test NC700 and Airpods Max
