I own one. I average 17.8km/L on city traffic and 30km/L on the highway.
It does the job if you're into fuel efficient, realiable and solid metro car.
I chose this over the Yaris X after test driving it, this definitely feels luxurious than the YX.

Had my corolla cross G for a month!! I super love it! It's a very stable smooth driving car. I love the suspension! Plus it is very fuel efficient. Mine has an average of 28km/L on highway, roughly 19km/L on city driving

I see a lot of comment going for the Sealion. I get their point, but for a buyer like me, im paying for peace of mind. Yes the Sealion is really tempting, but some of its features (as I read from long time users abroad), are glitchy, ie collision mitigation braking suddenly because the vehicle is thinking you are ramming the vehicle ahead, esp when overtaking on provincial roads.

The Corolla Cross hybrid has been around for quite some time already and the parts are readily available.

Yes the Sealion price is cheap, but how sure are you with the after sales? How long will the parts come in? I’d buy the Sealion maybe in 5 yrs, after it has proven itself in the local market. For now, i’ll go with the Corolla Cross.

I envy our Philippines friends that they always get the high and updated specs compared to us here in Malaysia.

Great vide as always, Vince and team.

This cross is an absolute banger for new buyers of hybrid vehicles. This is surely better than the yaris cross which is made by daihatsu.

If you gonna get the GRS, would it be better to get the Zenix Q instead? Same 1.9M but you get 7 seater, more powerful, also got Toyota sense plus same hybrid car?

I'm waiting for my Cross to land here in Sydney, Australia. The Cross version here is a two-litre engine ( M20A-FXS ). I'm excited.

Heads up to cross owners like me a n d I am 73
Watch out at car washes they can destroy your roof rubber trim molding both sides mine is a 2024 cross
Bluebird car washes here I live in Ontario Oregon said happens with toyotas all the time sadly
Dealer put new ones on no chg 1x only said go to ez or touchless carwashes to avoid damaging roof molding
Very upsetting so now I just hand wash it myself better job no cost gotcha carwash
Love my cross though

would you rather get a corolla cross grs over a base trim rav4? because at that point for buyers that can afford that price range, the difference is quite negligible

I looked up some videos of the corolla cross hybrid models from the US and I think Australia and on the blank panels you’ve mentioned, there are some heater options/buttons there. Maybe based dun yung interior and na carry over lang sa PH models.

There’s a reason why BYD requires expensive premium fuel and that is because of reliability concerns.

Toyota only needs regular unleaded. And discounting the plugin charging range, Toyota’s Synergy Drive drinks LESS fuel than the BYD.

So all in all you’re getting more value for the BYD but you’re saving more money with the Toyota. If you are buying only one car or if you drive long distances, go with the Toyota. If you’re getting a second or third car and drives short distances the BYD is the better choice.

TBH, having the BYD Sealion on that price range still makes me hesitate getting these hybrids on the same pricepoint from the big 4.

Instead of spamming BYD on every youtube video about Toyota or Honda hybrid, why don't you just buy your BYD Sealion already and share your actual experience as an owner. What's your excuse for not getting it after 6+ months when reservation list on dealerships aren't even that long?

People here are sharing their actual experience owning this car and most of you still spam BYD like you own one.
