Seeing shadow tear up makes me tear up. You can see how touched he is when he sees that helen has the same postive energy and looks as Maria did. I wish they did meet in Sonic X, then we would've had some really great moments

I've seen some say that Helen should have been the main human companion for Sonic in the Sonic X anime. Imagine if she was on the Ark in the Adventure 2 arc, she looks like Maria so she could have convinced Shadow to help alot easier then Chris did

This is why I liked Sonic X, because Sonic went out of his way to help in small ways. Fetching Cream Flowers and helping Helen to name a few.

It so bittersweet. It’s like he was finally able to say goodbye to Maria, and get some closure. I’d like to hope Shadow would know, that letting go doesn’t mean he loved her any less. He’s just finally able to let go of the pain, to let in more love.

I always saw Helen as Sonic’s Maria. I don’t dislike Chris or anything but I wish Helen was the MC. Great chemistry with Sonic.
