Although I generally have good grammar, I think, I'm _not_ good at using commas. I've often placed them where they're not necessary, and sometimes neglected to place them where they _should_ be. Yet somehow I knew each of your examples. I'm suddenly even concerned about _this_ comment. 😄 Grammarly tells me, for example, that I should remove the comma I placed after "they're not necessary." I tend to insert them exactly where I would insert pauses if I were speaking. Maybe I just pause differently than many people. 😏

in this case, should we write like this:
The Mid-Autumn Festival, a popular harvest festival, dates back to China's Shang
Dynasty which lasted from 1600 B.C. until 1064 B.C.
Sounds like we need a comma before “which”, but according to the rules, we don’t need it

As someone from ireland i suggest you dont label this as the correct way because most countries outside america thay speak english dont use the oxford comma (like ireland, britan and Australia)
