To people who are Missing the context, Carly never graduated because she never properly submitted the paper work required to transfer her PE credits from Italy because Spencer gave the school a phony address because of which Carly never received the notice to submit the paperwork.

Real context: Principal Franklin is an undercover security officer working for Starfleet named Tuvok. He went back in time to investigate an alien time traveler that goes by Gibby, and when he realized he was harmless, he returned to his time. This visit was to ensure time hadn't changed significantly as a result of his or Gibbys presence.
