This looks amazing! Great that you have these in your region and you can afford to use them. Unfortunately they're definitely not standard across Germany. Not saying you insinuated this but this is not what the majority of people will encounter when traveling by train in Germany

If you are trying to make us envy the Germans, it's working. The thing about providing a good quality of life environment (as Germany does) often unrecognized is the strength that provides to the 'social fabric' which translates into better health, stronger families and better social resilience. I know there are some contrary indicators, e.g., Far Right movements and there's much higher tax rates, but every benefit in life has a price. I like the 'benefits' I see in Germany.

If you do not live in a larger city public transport is an absolute nightmare. Don’t be fooled. I‘ve lived in Germany all my life and it is not possible to master life without a car for every family member that has a license. And I‘m not talking about small mountain villages I live in the so called Metropolregion Rhein Neckar. If one of those politicians or climate activists would need to use busses that operate only every two hours (and of course with a 15min delay so that you do not get the connecting train) they would understand why people still use their cars on a daily basis.

To my fellow Germans who like to complain about DB and its punctuality (or lack thereof): Regional trains (commuters!) are over 90% on time within 5 minutes and almost 100% on time within 15 minutes! – What can and should be criticized are the long-distance trains, which are only about 60% on time. But these are not the subject of the video.

Never such a train here, but the normal ones are great as well. And yes 50€/m + there are many available connections. Not everywhere and not perfect but still great

Bavaria! ❤

This kind of „advanced“ train would probably be maintained less than 3 months in Berlin vicinity (before being destroyed by passengers).

There is a very large scale of „comfortable transportation“ amongst regional transportation systems. Sadly…

Whenever I am in Bavaria, I feel comfort and care. Soooo soothing 😍

We also generally have the 365 day ticket which is 365€ a year so you pay 1€ a day and can use public transport including buses, trains, underground trains and tram.

Als jemand der selber jeden Tag mit der Eisenbahn pendelt würde ich gerne wissen welches Eisenbahnunternehmen solche tollen Züge hat, die DB wird es wohl leider nicht sein ?

That's so cheap. I took a first class train once for an hour ride and it was $50 for one trip.

It costs 2x as much for a crappy.bus and max pass here. And the trains are dangerous inefficient and ny my guess about a a 20% comfortable. Sometimes i wish i married a european lol😅😂

Can we talk about smoking 🚬 in the USA vs Germany? I just got back from Bavaria and was shocked at the number of people smoking in crowded public areas. I am pregnant and it was very difficult to avoid.

These are beautiful - but even in the Munich region they are not standard (I am from the immediate north of munich and the trains running from Pfaffenhofen to Munich are much worse :-( ).
