Why are Indians living in Trinidad & Tobago?

This is the story of how Indians reached the far off islands of Trinidad & Tobago.

My great grand parents came to Trinidad from Uttar Pradesh in 1845 on the Fatel Razack ship... My father's family visited the folks back in Uttar Pradesh.. recently.. It was the greatest of joy... India is beautiful.. both rich & poor... I hope to visit one day...I am happy to be born in this beautiful Island called Trinidad & Tobago.. I love my Africian brothers & sisters too.. I also love India.. but most of all.. I love my country Trinidad...❤😊

endured as a 12 year old slave from Calcutta, India. She was put on a boat 
which took 6 months, as she always told my ma, to reach Trinidad. Beautiful
