(1) Vierzon is a commune in the Cher department in the Centre region of France close to the City of Bourges.
(2) Vesoul is a commune in the Haute-Saône department in the region of Franche-Comté located in eastern France, 50km north of Besancon.
(3) Honfleur is a city in northern France's Lower Normandy region, sited on the estuary where the Seine river meets the English Channel.
(4) Hambourg, or Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River.
(5) Anvers, french name for Antwerp, an international port city on Belgium’s River Scheldt, with history dating to the Middle Ages.
(6) Faubourg, french name for suburb or banlieue
(7) Jacques Dutronc, popular french shlager singer, who was married to 60s shlager star Francoise Hardy
(7b) a hill fortress in Suresnes, a western Paris suburb, overlooking the Bois de Boulogne.
(9) Cantal is a department in south-central France, with its capital at Aurillac.
(9b) Byzance, french for Byzantium, meaning Constantinople (greek name) or Istanbul (turkish name)
(10) Quartier Pigalle, Neighbourhood in Paris with many sex-shops, popular with tourists.
(11) Saint-Lazare, 2nd biggest metro station in Paris with 39mio passengers annually.
(12) a french volume of poetry of the modernist movement around 1857. many themes relate to decadence and eroticism. (probably here he refers to a theatrical adaptation).
(13) chauffe marcel. he's telling his accordeon player, Marcel Azola, to literally "heat it up" meaning "play faster !" (thanks elven knight for the correction)

the outstanding accordeon player in this song is Jean Corti (1929-2015)

The 'Chauffe Marcel' is not intended to the drummer but to the accordion player, the famous Marcel Azzola, who is the accordion player and not Jean Corti as mentionned
