Persecuted – Dr. Charles Stanley

Christianity has survived persecution, heartache, and bloodshed. When Rome thought Jesus had died, it was merely the beginning. When family curse you out and walk away, yes hurtful and it feels bad but may the Lord give me strength to keep walking by faith. I lost my son 2011 at age 24. Lost both parents still here. God help us all to keep the faith during difficult times.

I was in a rental car waiting area when I received an email Dr. Stanley passed. I don't do grief well having been through a lot of it, so kind of shut down, yet know I needed preachers, so went to Billy Graham. It took God a year to slowly get me back to Stanley's teachings, where I've been ever since, along with Billy Graham. I did look for bible-based teachers, but they're difficult to find out there, who are so grounded in truth and day to day life, and honestly? Aren't screaming from the pulpit. Any preacher that starts yelling? I'm gone. ... I am so grateful we have the recordings and may God bless everyone out there who listens to Dr. Stanley.

R. I. P. Dr. Stanley, we will meet someday. My own adult children have persecuted me so bad, that they no longer even speak to me. I can no longer see my six grandchildren anymore. It's very hurtful, however, I refuse to turn away from Jesus. It has brought me closer to Him and it increases my faith. Proverbs 3:5-6 helps me through and the Holy Spirit comforts me. If you suffer and are a Christian, don't give up hope!

I've been left alone bum family that I love
The only one that wants to be with me is my son in prison
But praise Charles Stanley and his monthly devotionals
I ordered my son a subscription for him in prison
Till he received his own I wrote out my devotionals in his letters
God brought my son and I together again
Changed our future
I pray to go home to be with my son, and grandson.
To get my son to attend my home church
The preacher preaches from the bible
It's a small church but the most loving church family I've ever had
I will continue listening to this wonderful man's sermons and read his devotionals

My mother held onto the word of God her whole life, even when dementia took so much else from her. She enjoyed Dr stanley everyday because like him she came from poverty but she always took from that life the need and trust of God. She saw in dr stanley a person like herself. I miss her and through her I have come to know dr stanley and his teaching of God’s world. The last days, end times are growing in persecution of Jesus Christ and so they persecute all of us who follow Him. It is Just as Jesus has told us in His word, turn to Jesus He and only He can save you, heal you, teach you to walk through the troubles of this world. Love your enemies and pray for everyone. Live each day a life for Jesus - the Godly life of one who believes and lives by the Bible. Thank you dr stanley for your example and teaching.
