Building a Peltier cooler-based cooling box - First iteration [Part 1/6]

In this video I show my experiment with a cooling box, or refrigerator. I wanted to build one to test the capabilities of a single TEC12708 Peltier cooler. I used corrugated sheets, polystyrene foam, silicone glue (caulking glue), some screws, a CPU cooler, and some duct tape to build the box.

I just found this channel yesterday and it has provided me with quiet sufficient information on Peltier modules than any other videos on here. Thank you @CuriousScientist. I am trying also to build a peltier cooler box but with less volume about to the next video to see the improvements you made. PS: this is my favorite channel on you tube now! You explain stuff so well that even a beginner easily understands!!!

As far as I know, you're correct about both things. 1. Cooling the heat sink better will help because, in general, the hotter the hot side of the TEC, the less efficient it is. In addition to that, the performance of the TEC is relative to the temperature differential between the hot and the cold side. If you can bring down the temperature of the hot side, the cold side will follow. 2. A bigger fan on the cold heat sink will help remove energy faster.
Additional tip: If your TEC is removing too much energy for the heat sink to reject, then the TEC will begin to lose efficiency. Sometimes you can dial down your voltage and actually achieve lower temperatures. It's worth a try.

Good. Try to install the fan on the top for convention flow and to put aluminum sheet inside the fridge to increase the internal air exchange.

Thank you for sending me the link to this video, and my sincere appologies for posting my query under the wrong video.
After posting my last comment which was mainly to ask if limiting the current to 4-5 amps to each peltier 12706 which is anyway drawing 3-3.5amps would make any difference?
Second, I added a thermometer to the cold plates after my last comment to you and I see that the cold plates are at 6-7Deg. So my understanding from this video and overall knowledge is that adding more heatsinks and fans on the cold side will greatly help the cooling to reduce the temperature further inside the box. Please let me know if my understanding is correct?

I've built climate chambers for the last few months. Anything in particular you want to use your for? That determines what design is most suitable.

Can I use this technique to build lithium ion battery 🔋 pack so maintain temperature under the box
