We are doing something somewhat similar. I left the city and year ago and we are living with family in the mountains of Virginia, USA while we are building our homestead nearby. We aren't debt-free or off-grid, but do plan to build in such capabilities for if the SHTF someday. I see you are a starseed. You are inspiring me into our next phases of development - the farm portion of our homestead (already in progress but just winging it so far). Thank you.
