How I Install Stabilizers on a Keyboard PCB

I've always found installing stabilizers to be an awkward thing to do especially when I was getting started in this hobby. I've always had issues with wires falling out or the stem falling out of the housing when I'm trying to screw on a stabilizer. Fortunately, I found a way that works well for me, and hopefully someone else out there finds this useful too.

There may be some variance depending on the stabilizer, but it's a technique I've found that has worked across many kinds of stabilizers for me.

If you can get both holes at the same time, it's not you're a legend.

OMG this is so much easier. I hate for some reason dealing with the stabs. But this way cut out so much tedious time. Thanks for the tip!!!

Your're a life saver lol: bought the Monsgeek M1 like a true n00b and I couldn't just get the wires in the housing together after lubing. Monsgeek/Akko doesn't provide a manual but I just couldn't get the wire to snap into the housing. Really frustrating. What's a n00b to do? Look on the intarwebz of course. The method in this video worked, though my spacebar sounds like ass lol. At least I got the stabs installed and I have a working keyboard now. :)

Cheers 🍺

A "how to install stabiliziers on a keyboard PCB" video should probably show how to attach them to the PCB
