Fun fact, If the straw is longer than about 34 feet (10.3 meters), it becomes physically impossible to draw liquid through it using suction alone, regardless of how strong you are. Even at shorter lengths, practical limits like friction and lung capacity make it increasingly difficult to use a long straw effectively. Also as you suck on the straw, you’re decreasing the air pressure inside it. Once the pressure inside the straw drops to the vapor pressure of the liquid, it can no longer stay in a liquid state. Instead, it begins to boil at room temperature because the external pressure is no longer sufficient to keep it liquid. At that length, atmospheric pressure taps out, and the liquid will just chill at the bottom while the top of the straw fills with bubbles or vapor. YAY SCIENCE!

Nerd fact: The atmostpheric pressure inside a very long straw would be really high making the liquid boil under it, after certain distance only the vapour will reach you.
