As someone who was mistakenly diagnosed with panic disorder and put on diazepam at a young age only to become dependant on it and now told I'm autistic I feel that first part. It stopped me processing trauma for about 10yrs devastating stuff. Beautiful lyricist 👌

I am a 65 year old Canadian man who over the years has been blessed to hear some of the greatest singers ever. For me REN is definitely in the top five most feeling singers ever. Thousands can sing, people like REN make you feel the story

"starving" older artist here. I know you've heard it a whole bunch of times, but I shall happily join your chorus. I've had to start over too many times in my life, losing huge pieces of myself, or the means to create what I'd trained myself to-funny thing, though people like and respect what I do, all the traditions have been denigrated to the point that often it's hard on the value end of it. Your music speaks to the love of my long ago music (Madrigal, ska, hip hop, etc.) and that automatically has done my heart so much good. The values you speak of are things I've fought and espoused and tried to emulate, and the last few years have kicked what few teeth I have in. So coming upon a young person sharing and showing them, has renewed me again, and that would have me grateful. But it's the honesty, humanity and degree of artisanship you bring to all the aspects of what you do, that has truly helped get me off my ass.I may not do anything that anyone will notice but the few around me, and I've always been fine with that, but I've returned to some of my earlier great loves, because of what you've shared, so like so many others in your choir, I have much to be grateful for. Thank you for what you do, and thank you for introducing Chinchilla to me as well. Boy do I love young people, but I especially love young CREATIVE people with integrity.

Heretic is one of my faves. I remember when I first came across your music, it was your Bittersweet symphony version on tiktok on my fyp a couple years ago. We went went on a day trip to York the next day and I played your songs all the way to listen to as many as I could. The kids were so confused by Hi Ren and now they love that song and sing along. Heretic and Everybody drops really spoke to me then, I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and zero medical support, just rotting away on 'benefits', been desperately trying to make some kind of business for myself but my body just won't work.and I'm bitter. I listen to you a lot but always go back to the older songs when things are so bleak and dark. If you ever want to mentor anyone give me a shout, I'm no good with music but I'm creative, I have so many ideas but my audhd brain can't focus on one thing, it's infuriating. I used to be a midwife, now I'm just written off by society as a scrounging dosser, things have been bloody dark recently, I need some light ❤

Diazepam, Humble, and especially Do You Believe are probably some of my favorites. Currently bedbound with ME/CFS, been this way for several years now. Struggling with addiction and so much more. My 14 years relationship with the love of my life ended this summer, too. My heart is broken beyond words... I do believe I will find my way back to the life I love, somehow. Thoughts and prayers to everyone suffering, for whatever reason. I'm with you, you're not alone ❤️
