Can you beat Undertale Pacifist without Sparing? (Ft. Shayy)

Can you beat Undertale Pacifist without Sparing a Single time? This is how I beat Undertale Pacifist with only 3 Spares. Today I teamed up with Shayy (an Undertale and Deltarune Speedrunner) to do exactly that.

Did you know that you can beat Toriel without Sparing her while doing a True Pacifist run? With this knowledge I spoke to Shayy who is famous for doing speedruns of Undertale and Deltarune speedruns (including Deltarune Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 runs) to see if it would be possible with the Punch Card. Today we execute glitches to skip Dogamy and Dogaressa skipping Papyrus and Muffet and many more skips ahead. This is not an Undertale Genocide route as that route is completely different from True Pacifist. So there isn't a Sans battle to look forward too. There are also weird sparing requirements too for certain enemies such as Madjick and the Royal Guards (which Papyrus isn't one of sadly). Nonetheless, I am very happy with how this run turned out and I love Under Tale and Delta Rune. Perhaps in the future we could do something similar to this in Deltarune Chapter 1 or Chapter 2 or even Chapter 3 when that comes out. The Toriel battle skip was definitely the most interesting though. I even got the W.D Gaster Hallway in this run surprisingly. That was cool.

Can you beat Undertale Pacifist without Sparing? No so can you beat Undertale Pacifist with only 3 Spares? Yes. Today I contacted Shayy who does Undertale Speedrun and Deltarune Speedrun and has World Record and World Records. He is famous for Deltarune Lesbian Skip. Even speedruns in Undertale Genocide and Deltarune Snowgrave. Deltarune Snowgrave is like Undertale Genocide but different and it features Noelle Kris Susie and Ralsei. Spamton was also in Deltarune Chapter 2 but he is not in this video so there isn't mention of Mike or big shot or 1997 and no Jevil either. I got the W.D Gaster hallway in this run so that was fun but this isn't an Undertale theory or a set of theories and I am not MatPat or Game Theory. So no Entry Number 17 or anything like that or much of Sans to be honest. This isn't an Undertale Speedrun of Genocide or an Undertale Speedrun wr this is a challenge run with Shayy. We got to the Asriel fight in this video unlike before where it ended on Photoshop Flowey or Omega Flowey. Asgore is in this video too along with Toriel. This is kinda like the Is It Possible series but this is a Can you beat type of video challenge run thing. I used the Undertale OST and the Deltarune Soundtrack in this video such as the Ruins and Asgore's theme and A CYBERS WORLD? and Here We Are which is True Lab's theme. In True Lab we get to learn about Alphys. So make sure to not get this confused with Is It Possible! This is Can you Beat not Is it Possible! W.D Gaster is cool but Dr. Gaster and Gaster Followers are not in this video. This isn't a no hit run either this is a Spareless challenge.

Considering how the run turned out, would "How many spares does it take to beat Undertale?" be a better title?

Greater Dog's battle having that option is no gift, you demon.

Although still shown as the same ending, whether you properly spared a monster is reflected in its credits description. That's a lot of whites...

As someone else said, theres a video of using some kind of punch card glitch to die but skip any amalgamate. If you use this and its doable by a human, im unsure if it is because the video is a TAS, but if it is thats only 1 spare. If someone can find a way to break doggo you can get a perfect spareless run! Look up [TAS] true lab but everything is skipped.

No need for the technicality of "Asgore and Flowey use Mercy instead of Spare". You're allowed to kill them, and it doesn't stop your ability to get True Pacifist on the next run [which speedrunners including Shayy do]. They're both after Sans's judgement, which is really the final pacifist check, and Asgore is killed by Flowey anyway with Flowey himself only needing to be spared to have him tell you to date Undyne. Killing him sets the same flag to unlock the path for True Pacifist.

I feel like muffet is the easiest punch card skip. It doesn’t take much time as you get multiple chances each time. I recommend that skip to start with if you want to learn to do punch card skips

3:33 - Hilariously, this is the standard any% TPE route for Papyrus. His battle is so long that it's worth getting captured 3x just to skip it.

6:20 You can also buy and sell Cloudy Glasses until you get at least 9, 999 GP and buy a Spider Donut directly from Muffet. Might take more time, but does not require the use of a glitch. There's also alternate dialogue and no battle ensues. 6:40 It took me four hours to grind the GP. Whether it's worth it or not, that's up to the player.
So, is there extra dialogue from Sans involving this? It would be interesting if there were.
