Great design! I would caution against counter sinking the lags though because that will defeat the purpose of the treated wood in that area, it will take it moisture and likely rot at those points.

Great pier! It can be used as a raft for a mini dredger to clean the lake from mud. To do this, you need a motor pump for dirty water and a suction nozzle Bagermaster

using colored markers make it fun 4 kids to help assemble and makes it easier to see all those pencil markings! :)

I’ve heard the white barrels have no ivy protection and they crack as opposed to the blue ones. Have yours cracked? Plz reply. Thank you.

Nice. It's got a lot of bouyancy. The barrels will get a lot of sun. Hard for swimmers to climb out of the water, too. Partially fill each drum with water to get it to sit lower in the water.

good job dude and overall a great video not certain what you used to secure the barrels to the dock, I would have used the plumber strap which is what I see everyone else using because I would not have known what else to use that is why I am curious as to what you used.

As the drums are hardly submerged, wouldn't only four of them be enough? Or are you using 6 in case you'll have many people on it?

that came out great. Could you tell me the measurement from the water to the top of the dock. I have an existing dock and want to extend it, right now my current one has those black plastic square floats, but they are expensive. If these will put the dock at the same height as my existing one, then this might just work for me. thanks

Nice dock. Can you please let me know how far above the water the surface of the deck boards are with the 6 barrels? I was going to use 4, but might use your design for 6 depending on the height! Thanks for the help.

Really should use lag "bolts" with lock washers and nuts as opposed to those lagscrews
