The way he says „when I hear the stories, even I am shocked“ - and then doesn’t deny them being true.

The way he smiles and then gives some small talk about Ronald Raegan - basically telling Legasov to sod off.

And then finally admits he was lying before: „I know who he his“

Manipulative, terrifying, cold and absolutely brilliantly played.
