He is so full of life himself that whatever he narrates keeps one so entranced by the way he brings nature and its existence to light and it enlightens us in such a degree of awareness of our once beautiful planet which we humans have taken so much advantage of. I truly enjoy every minute I watch his programmes. My gratitude to him and all the crew that work with him in bringing Planet Earth up to date with so much valuable information.

Read this in David Attenborough’s voice:
“The drying of acrylic paints occurs in two very different stages, hence drying times must be thought of in two different time frames. The first stage, a relatively short period of time, results in the formation of a skin over the surface of the paint. This is the time that it takes for acrylics to “dry to the touch”. At this point, the flow of water towards the surface is no longer sufficient to keep the paint film wet. Very thin films can feel dry within seconds, while thick films may take a full day or more to skin over.”

I've experienced this first hand in my own yard, at one point there was no grass or plants, due a temporary pet pig. The weeds appeared and covered the barren soil, months after grass and plants grew with the weeds. I'm fairly sure weeds are natures way of returning things back to nature.
