On Thursday, voters across England and Northern Ireland will be going to the polls.

But how important are these elections, and what might they tell us about the current state of play in UK politics?

I had to select a green candidate as the conservatives and the labour are not electable anymore. Was weird that there was a ✏️ pencil there not a pen, is that normal?

I think where the outcome of this. Leaves me - is very much divided, uncertain, lacking any hope and also deeply unsure about the dreadful and horrible mess we are in. I have 3 basic choices.
(1): Abstain from voting in the European Union Election.

(1b): If forced into doing so! Do what I have done - only once before. With an election of an elected Mayor to Bristol - 7 years ago and ruin my voting paper on the 23rd May.
Or - (2): To vote in the European Union Election as normal!

Many of us in Britain. Face the horrible conundrum of these choices. Three choices and I have NEVER been so perplexed and uncertain about the dreadful course directions to do. And to top it all off. I am a Conservative Party member too. This is one precarious situation and conundrum that I do - absolutely- hate!

Scotland also uses a proportional voting system for council elections.. basic error creeping in there at the end. Everywhere should use PR in local elections, because there are many places where the same party is returned decade after decade.
