In November 2019, Virginia Democrats flipped both chambers of the state legislature. Democrat Andrew Beshear unseated incumbent Republican Governor Matt Bevin in Kentucky. And in New York, voters overwhelmingly approved ranked-choice voting for most local elections. Behind all these victories is this: a win for democracy.

Why do you have to register to vote? In Germany everybody over 18 (or 16 in some cases) will get a postcard from the local election Commission a few weeks bevore an election. You will get the information when the polling station is open and where you can find it. An then there are informations an for the postal vote. You dont have to do anything exept get up and vote. Elections on every level are alsway at sundays or national hollydays, so the most exhausting thing is to get out of bed between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Maybe you can do another video on explaining the ranked choice voting. Real slow so this old fashioned voter can understand what's going on. I'm so set in my ways I think I have a mental block. Something like these new cell phones and computers. Mental block but my vote still counts.
