Of course, after arriving in Bangkok, I had to check out some of the camera shops. It's not a surprise that there is lots of them in Bangkok since I did a similar tour a few years ago. However, this time I went to Mega Plaza where you find a bunch of shops at level 5. The amount of nice film cameras you can source there is astounding and easily rivals other cities in Asia like Singapore.

See you soon in the next one!

Great day with you! Can't wait to see what you get with that Olympus!

The Fuji GS645w is a sweet camera. It is light and plastic, yes, but that is to my benefit as I use it as a backpacking camera for shooting landscape photos. I have carried it on 5 day, 80 mile treks easily with a few filters and a ultralight tripod.

I could watch 2 more hours of this, love it! I just picked up an Olympus EES-2 from Japan. Hoping to shoot some Fuji 200 color through it this week.

Just got my Nikon F3 repaired at AV Camera. They did a good job. For film and processing I go to Photoclub Bangkok or to AB Digital at Ladprao. AB Digital has a high turnover and a good choice of film. They sell and process a lot, probably as it's the cheapest place in town.

The Pen EE should have the cap on, because it shortens the life of selenium light meter.... Never buy an Olympus Trip or any of the EE half frame cameras if they don't have a lens cap.
I look forward to seeing something from some of the 72 exposures from the Olympus EE.
The prices for the Olympus OMs and Pentax MX etc are way over what you'll find in the UK.

I think they were there at lunchtime, hence the bosses were all at lunch. Better to go 2pm onwards. The prices are their opening bid, you can negotiate down. Although they will be great examples.

I have an olympus ees-2 from my dad. Had a gw690 for a short while but it’s so expensive to shoot… Nice video, although the prices are nothing spectacular, it’s fun to “be there” with you!

Are you ok, Robin? I hope you didn't have any accident somewhere in Asia. 3 weeks without an upload doesn't seem like you.

Funny these shops don’t display prices but awesome that the owners know prices for everything.

these prices I see are all complete bullshit. If I compare them to mint lenses on eBay in Japan and add the custom to Europe. its like 50% cheaper buy it online.
