There is a video trending on Buzzfeed called, "I stopped believing in God after pastoring a megachurch." Here is the description to it:
With the release of her new book, "The Most Beautiful Thing I've Seen" Grammy nominated artist Lisa Gungor goes deep on family, church, and being pushed out of the world she knew so well.
This video is my reaction to it.

Full Disclosure: my assessment is only based on the buzzfeed video. I know nothing more of her story other than what she revealed in the video.

Oh btw everyone, the buzzfeed title was clickbait. Her and her husband were worship leaders, not pastors.

"Thy will be done" - not my goals and dreams, not the church's will. God is not our ATM.

Not because of what I’ve done but because of what He did, not because of what I am but because of Who He is!

That's why it is so important to have a personal relationship with Jesus and to read the Bible for yourself.

Life isn’t all like proverbs, sometimes it feels like Ecclesiastes.

I been trying have children with my wife we are married now for 11 years and did all the medical procedures we can do and we prayed for it and prayed for it and he answered my prayer...and God sometimes says NO...and yes my wife and I are ok with it and accept it...so God will answer your prayers but remember it's not always yes he may have different plans for you....not your will be done..HIS will be always done...stay blessed people

She even said that they " lost their security". Jesus has to be your security.

She fell in love with the "church"....not Jesus.

Oh Lord, forgive us when we act as religious fools.

The. Bible repeatedly says believers will have trouble.

So she basically admits that she’s never read the book of Job.

She left her failed “works based” belief system. That is NOT Christianity!

“We had a transaction model with God” WELP not Christian ever.

I’ve had 10 miscarriages. Still a believer.

God owes us nothing. Yet he has already given us infinitely more than we deserve. Salvation. It is enough.

Dont love God for his works but love him because you want to serve him

It's like no one in that entire megachurch ever read the book of Job in the Bible.

Not only do you expose a wrong understanding of the Christian faith, and in a loving way that never attacks Lisa Gungor, but you lay out the truth of the faith so clearly. Well done!

As a young believer this attitude caused deep hurt to our family. We had 2 young children and it was clear the eldest had developmental problems. I lost track of the number of people who told me that if my faith was strong enough our son would be healed. We were in a pretty conservative church so don't think this just happens in the health, wealth, prosperity churches. It happens everywhere and led me into a terrible wilderness period in my life. Thankfully I never doubted the reality of God but I did doubt my worthiness. It took a long time & a truly merciful & gentle Father to bring me through it.
